Winter Park Urology Associates performed the first minimally invasive surgeries in Orlando by using the da Vinci™ Surgical system from Intuitive Surgical, Inc. in enabling the next generation of surgery. Incorporating the latest advancements in robotics and computer technology, the da Vinci Surgical System is the only operative surgical robot that has been deemed safe and effective by the United States Food and Drug Administration for actually performing surgery.

By integrating ROBOTIC technology with the surgeon’s skill, the da Vinci™ System enables surgeons to perform precise minimally invasive (MIS) surgery in a manner never before experienced to enhance healing and promote well-being. The da Vinci^® Surgical System is powered by state-of-the-art robotic technology. The System allows your surgeon’s hand movements to be scaled, filtered and translated into precise movements of micro-instruments within the operative site. The magnified, three-dimensional view the surgeon experiences enables him to perform precise surgery in complex procedures through small surgical incisions.
